“Our goal is to make local, handmade, gluten-free products that are fresh, safe, delicious and accessible.”
With over 55 vendors on their delivery route, this business supports retailers, cafes, and restaurants in the Maritimes with gluten-free goods they can feel good about serving to their communities...
Historically, gluten-free products came with a big price tag, or with a stigma of being less healthy and full of fillers. This east coast business uses a dedicated gluten-free kitchen so all products are safe for gluten-free diets and for those with Celiac disease.
Providing local employment and safe products is the goal. More support would increase their manufacturing capacity by 40% to offer more products to customers and partners.

Elate beauty products put their customers first and ensure all choices are made to do no harm to people, animals or the planet. This business partners with other local organizations to collaborate and optimize their impact.
Elate hopes to employ a part-time member of the community who would benefit from their positive work environment, and invest in new equipment to make operations more efficient.

First Indigenous Biomass Future Inc.

“FIND Biomass focuses on Indigenous employment and gender equality in the forestry industry.”
Sustainable energy and diverting waste from landfills is just one of the missions of this business. They also started a Hybrid Poplar Propagation Facility. It’s capable of producing one million poplar trees every year that can be planted in afforestation projects to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions...
With over 25 years of experience in the sustainable environment sector, FIND Biomass owners are relationship-driven entrepreneurs who give back to and rely on the small community of Kinuso. With today’s carbon crises, ongoing support for green initiatives is important to win the fight against climate change.
Encouraging the development of forestry-based skills will help break down the barriers experienced with First Nations people and women who are underrepresented in the forestry and natural resources industries. FIND Biomass hopes to further support their equality-based initiatives.

By purchasing locally and transforming a former eyesore into a must-do attraction, Dairy King intends to continue to be a business the Swift Current community can count on.

Innovative educational programming including outdoor summer camps, school workshops, online courses and shore cleanups, generating more advocates for ocean conservation is Sea Smart’s biggest goal.
Sea Smart hopes to strengthen their outreach programs, as well as their online educator resources that currently reach over 700,000 people in over 30 countries.
